With dimensions slightly larger than an ambulance in van format, the design and manufacture of a box of a contained size on a cab chassis results in an agile ambulance in urban downtown, at the same time very spacious within the patient care cabin.
The box structure in aluminum profiles with thermal and acoustic insulation panels is mounted on a rear single-wheel chassis-cabin. With the RLAF1 emergency signaling assembly integrated into the body, the total height does not exceed 2,670 mm in the case of the MAN TGE platform, while the length is 6,290 mm. With this compact exterior size, interior dimensions without bodywork of 3,410 x 1,960 x 2,050 mm (length x width x height) are achieved.
Access to the patient compartment is through a side sliding door and two rear doors that open up to 270º. The height from the interior floor to the ground is 570 mm, in addition to the pneumatic and adjustable suspension that facilitates loading the stretcher. The box has two large exterior doors for storing rapid intervention material, and an exterior door to house two 10L oxygen bottles and two 3L laptops with an Emergalia Oxiback backpack.
